Mary Louisse Marino was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last November 29, 2019. Four days before her diagnosis, she experienced alarming symptoms like fever, body weakness, unusual paleness, and abdominal pain. These manifestations prompted her parents to bring her to a hospital for proper medical care. A complete blood count was done and it showed decreased red blood cell and platelet count. She was then given a blood transfusion.
Mary Louisse is the eldest of the two siblings in the family. She is described by her parents as a hopeful and resilient girl. She also loves to learn new things as evidenced by her desire to go to school even at a young age. Her parents are both production workers whose combined income is barely enough to provide for their growing family.
