Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has been transferred to another hospital to continue treatment for an infection and undergo testing for a heart condition.
"The Duke of Edinburgh was today transferred from King Edward VII's Hospital to St Bartholomew's Hospital where doctors will continue to treat him for an infection, as well as undertake testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition," a statement from Buckingham Palace said. Prince Philip, 99, was admitted to hospital on February 17 as a precaution after he felt unwell for several days, the palace said at the time.
In 2012 he missed the end of celebrations to mark the Queen's 60th year on the throne after being hospitalised with a bladder infection.
Like you can believe any statement the Palace puts out.
I mean sad that someone is dying. But, do we really need a by the hour update? He has had a foot and half in the grave for a long time. Let him go in peace.
