So far, Food and Drug Administration Director General Eric Domingo has not experienced any adverse effects, less than an hour after receiving China’s Sinovac coronavirus disease vaccine. In a radio interview, the FDA chief shared his vaccination experience at the Philippine General Hospital .
“Ang galing ng nurse namin eh, wala akong naramdamn ni hindi ko naramdaman na tapos na pala. Wala naman akong naramdaman na any systemic effect ,” he told the DZBB in an interview. Domingo said he will receive the second dose after four weeks. “Ang gagawain ng DOH kapag binigyan ka nya ng first dose, nakareserve na ang second dose ,” he said. Domingo said they cannot tell yet if there is a need for those who were vaccinated to get a booster next year.
“Hindi pa talaga natin alam this time…kasi nga wala pang one year ang vaccine. Kasama ‘yan sa continuing development ng vaccine, ‘yung malalaman natin kung hanggang kailan ‘yung protection ang binibigay o kung kailangan tayong magbooster annually ,” he said.
