PETALING JAYA: Eight new Covid-19 clusters were detected in the country on Monday (Feb 22), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that of the eight clusters, seven were linked to workplaces, while one is linked to community transmission.

It has seen 45 positive cases detected through targeted screening of workers at a construction site in Jalan Lombong Timah 3, Bandar Saujana Putra in Kuala Langat. It was detected through targeted screening of workers at a retail business located in a wholesale market in Seri Kembangan, Petaling.The cases were detected via targeted screening of workers at a construction site near Sungai Batu in Jalan Ipoh, Kepong.The cluster was detected after individuals had reported experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, and 22 cases have been identified so far.
