Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said on Monday, Feb. 22, that he is willing to be vaccinated in public, even at Plaza Miranda in Manila, to convince more people to be vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a press briefing, Sinas said he shares the perception of other senior officers that they should be the first to be vaccinated and in public amid survey results showing that almost 30 percent of PNP personnel are hesitant to be inoculated.

“This only shows that we have faith in the vaccines and we are willing to participate in the government’s vaccination program,” he added.
