PETALING JAYA: Thirteen new Covid-19 clusters were recorded on Monday (Jan 25) with eight linked to workplaces, according to the Health Ministry.

In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that three of the new clusters were linked to community transmissions while the remaining two were detected from high-risk groups.

The Jalan Indah cluster involves the Johor Baru district in Johor, and was detected after targeted screening at a company in Jalan Indah, Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Baru.The Kampung Muhibbah cluster involves the Kota Tinggi district in Johor, and is linked to a social gathering in Pengerang. It has 19 cases.

The Industri Apas cluster has 22 cases and it involves the Tawau district in Sabah, and was detected after a factory worker tested positive for Covid-19. The cluster was detected after targeted screening for cleaners of several companies along Jalan Kerinchi.
