Gardaí, the HSE and the Department of Health are urging the public to be aware of a number of scams relating to Covid-19 vaccination, after a number of people received fraudulent calls and messages looking for personal details in recent days.
Others have received phone calls requesting that they make an appointment to receive a Covid-19 vaccine at a random hospital. Some people may confirm their address, and that they live home on their own, leaving the scammer to then offer to come to their home. It said the vaccine is free, and is not available privately, and that the first point of contact for a jab or a test will be your local GP.
I'd like to warn the public about an on going scam that happens every 4 years called an election....it scams people into believing voting for change and something is worth while and those who are part of the scam have victims believing they will do the job and are not corrupt
