Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the government is not keen to implement the MCO for a long period due to the livelihoods it could affect.
“If we implement the MCO for four weeks until early February, and then followed by a conditional MCO for three months, we hope we can reduce the number of Covid-19 cases to double figures, ” said Dr Noor Hisham, at a virtual press conference on Monday .More to come
But keep interstate travel blocked. This is a huge problem if trying to contain this virus.
Very certain the current Rt, how many people one infected person infects, is below 1. The number of cases could be reduced to 2000 before mid Feb. However, once MCO is lifted, Rt might go back to 1.1 like in Nov last year. If so, the cases would be 3000 at the end of Feb.
😂😂😂
Solution: end MCO. Open up with strict SOPs. WFH should be mandatory for those who can. Ramp up digital infra for online schooling of Standard 1 - Form 3. Online schooling is the way forward for now. Limit public crowding depending on space capacity. Heavy policing enforce SOP.
