The Department of Health said it is “acknowledging” the hesitancy of some individuals to get vaccinated once the vaccine for COVID-19 becomes available in the country.

Based on the recent survey of Pulse Asia, 47 percent of the 2,400 adult Filipinos who were surveyed, said they do not want to get vaccinated against the viral disease. The primary reason was due to safety concerns. “We know that the public have reservations and this is why we are conducting stringent evaluation processes to ensure vaccine safety and effectiveness,” it added.
