Julian Assange cannot be extradited to the United States to face charges of espionage and hacking, a British judge has ruled.
District judge Vanessa Baraitser delivered the ruling at the central criminal court on Monday, saying the extradition would be"oppressive" due to his mental health.“Faced with conditions of near total isolation ... I am satisfied that the procedures will not prevent Mr Assange from finding a way to commit suicide,” Judge Baraitser said.
Such a great news, for Assange, the freedom and for the victims of US invasion of Iraq.
The Australian govt should have intervened a long time ago. The attempts to silence the work of Wikileaks have been fraudulent. He should be released immediately with strong protections never to be locked up again.

This decision will, more likely, be appealed & the case will heard in the High Court. Assange's imprisonment & treatment is nothing short of state terrorism & bullying on the part of the UK gov. As an Aust Citizen, our gov should now make representations to the UK for his release
