Oath-taking of 3 new cops deferred after they test positive for COVID-19

P/Brig.Gen. Bernard Tambaoan, deputy regional director for administration, said the oath-taking of the three police trainees was temporarily withheld until they recover and are tested negative from COVID-19.

He said the three police trainees have been isolated at the quarantine facility of the PRO-12 headquarters in Barangay Tambler, this city. He said they will be allowed to take their oath as policeman after they are tested negative for COVID-19, and upon the recommendation of a medical doctor that they are fit to undergo the basic police recruit training course.

The PRO-12 headquarters had undertaken stringent health protocols in police stations after several policemen tested positive for COVID-19. The local Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19 has reported some 260 active cases of COVID-19 with 26 fatalities in the city.
