A secondary school in Cork is pioneering 15-minute Covid-19 tests for teachers as part of efforts to protect the health of students, staff and families.
The pilot testing programme, which will run for six weeks, is on a voluntary basis among full-time staff members, with a doctor and nurse present to administer the weekly tests. Dr Flynn, from MyCorkGP.ie, said: “Having a screening solution available to schools that provides test results within 15 minutes could significantly ease the pressure on our public health system and provide the reassurance needed for staff members as we move into the winter months.
