The family of a Parktown Boys' High School pupil who died while on a school camp are seeking R20m in damages. File photo. The parents of Parktown Boys' pupil Enock Mpianzi say they have suffered impaired mental health for which they require medical treatment as a result of their son’s death, which was due to school negligence.
This is revealed in summons filed by their attorney, Ian Levitt, at the high court in Pretoria, where the family has lodged a civil claim of R20m against the school, the Gauteng department of education, Nyathi Bush and River Break, the school governing body and sacked principal Malcolm Williams. The R20m figure, according to Levitt, includes all grief and constitutional damages the family is demanding for their suffering.
It was always about money. How sad is that
Has anyone ever try to claim money from a circumcision school in the Transkei
If 'pushing it too far' was a name of a family.
How many other parents loose their children in unfortunate circumstances at school. Impared mental health? Legal exegerations. Am sure its the lawyers tht saw a big pay day cuming.
How many South African children have died by falling into pit toilets in schools and how many of them were assisted by these opportunistic organizations and lawyers to sue the state?
To be honest as painful as it is ,dismissing a principal and claiming R20mil is double punishment,it cant be both.
NZ Syndrome!
I dont blame them
