Speaking in Brisbane, Health Minister Steven Miles said it was "disappointing" to hear the New South Wales Government had "effectively given up on the goal of 28 days of no unlinked transmission".
Queensland's Chief Health Officer said authorities "need to wait a bit longer" before deciding whether there is a need to change November's planned border re-opening to New South Wales. The Queensland Government has demanded NSW record 28 days of no unknown community transmission before the border would reopen.
Haha I find it offensive that you said we aren't trying. And anyway we aren't trying because it's not realistic in NSW. - Gladys
After the State election? Not that she's making a political decision you understand, no sirree
SHAME that Stephen Miles doesn’t actually listen to the epidemiology & advice from viral medical specialists, if he did he would understand that the target he & the Premier have set is almost impossible to achieve. It is a target based on POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY not medical science.
Instead of monopolizing drugs and vaccines, please give people an option of effective and affordable treatments.
