Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Wednesday launched a new healthcare system tagged Tomo Ti’ya Initiative for mother and child.

Makinde, during the inauguration of the steering committee and technical working group for the initiative, said the scheme was aimed at facilitating qualitative maternal and child health services.

He said, “Before we came into the office last year, we had studied statistics on the various sectors in Oyo State which formed a basis for what our focal points would be. “For example, Oyo State has an estimated population of 8.4 million, of which about 1.7 million are children under five years of age. Yet, we have very high neonatal mortality, infant and child mortality. From the 2018 National Demographic and Health Survey, we saw that in Oyo State, the rate of a child under the age of one dying is 41 deaths per 1000 live births.

Prov 29:2,25-26 When d righteous are in authority, d people rejoice: but when d wicked beareth rule, d people mourn. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in d LORD shall be safe. Many seek d ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from d LORD.

When Benue go even imagine this kain project? All we have is a set of the most selfish and inconsiderate and insensitive humans stealing from us.
