SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health confirmed nine new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of Thursday , taking the country’s total to 57,849.Four cases reside in foreign worker dormitories, of which one had been identified earlier as a contact of previous cases, and had already been quarantined and tested. Three cases were detected through surveillance testing.

Overall, 22 per cent of new cases have no established links and epidemiological investigations are in progress.
It added that the number of unlinked cases in the community has also remained stable at an average of fewer than one case per day in the past two weeks. 99% of total cases have recovered, 1 in ICUWith 44 more patients discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities on Thursday, 57,668 cases – or 99.7 per cent of the total – have fully recovered from the infection.
