Coronavirus: Five deaths and 611 new cases confirmed in Ireland

Image: Sam Boal HEALTH OFFICIALS HAVE this evening confirmed 611 more cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.This brings to 39,584 the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases and 1,816 deaths in Ireland.

The CMO said in a statement: “All key indicators of the disease have deteriorated further in the three days since the last meeting of NPHET on Sunday 4th October. Professor Philip Nolan, chair of the NPHET Irish Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group, said that case numbers and hospitalisations are “growing exponentially”.

And ICU net +2. Media should report that stat as much as the others if not more.

CMOIreland provide the recovery numbers please. 3 months and nobody has been reported by your committee as recovered. Why are no journalists asking for this figure to be updated? MichealMartinTD and DonnellyStephen could you please push for this figure to be updated ASAP?

Five deaths. Age and co-morbidities? How many people died overall in the country. I know one who died of suicide. Second person I know personally who killed themselves in the last 2 months. The whole country is effectively in lockdown because of 5 deaths today, 1 yesterday. Wtf

These figure are pretty irrelevant, as deaths not on the same day, 26 in icu across the country with covid-19.. More currently in with pneumonia... Flu season now... 🙄🙄🙄
