PETALING JAYA: Taps at premises in 274 areas in Selangor will remain dry, as the level of pollution is still high at raw water intake points near Bukit Tampoi and Sungai Semenyih treatment plants.

Air Selangor corporate communications head Elina Baseri said the level of pollution was recorded at five TON near the Bukit Tampoi plant and at seven TON near the Sungai Semenyih plant at 7.30am on Monday morning.

"At present, we are unable to ascertain when the supply can be restored following the unscheduled water supply disruption," she said in a statement. Public taps are available near Masjid Puchong Perdana, MPSJ depot, USJ 3A, Kompleks 3K, and Petronas Unikeb Bandar Baru Bangi.
