JOHANNESBURG - Active COVID-19 cases in South Africa are now below 50,000.The health department recorded 1,573 cases in the last 24 hours.One person died in the Western Cape and 37 in Gauteng.Recoveries now stand at 614,781 which translates to a recovery rate of 90 percent.
