A driver who died during a British land speed record attempt has been named as millionaire fitness firm founder Zef Eisenberg. His family confirmed to the BBC that he died during the attempt at Elvington Airfield in York on Thursday afternoon. Mr Eisenberg, 47, was the founder of Maximuscle and ran the Madmax Race Team, which attempts speed records with motorbikes and cars.
In 2016, he was involved in a ‘near-death’ 230mph crash at the same airfield, in which he suffered 11 broken bones including his pelvis.This is a breaking story we will be updating.
