KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has recorded 1,877 Covid-19 cases as of Wednesday (Sept 30), says state Health Department director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi.

The death toll remains at 13, whereas there are still a total of 1,100 held at quarantine facilities and 1,797 are still home quarantined.

Dr Rundi said in a statement that there are a total of 12 clusters in the state so far, namely the Benteng LD cluster with 878 patients, Bangau-Bangau with 285 cases, Pulau at 49 cases, and Selamat at 25 cases. The other clusters are the Laut cluster , Bakau , Kg. Sakong , Kuarters , Buang Sayang , Jalan Bomba , Udin and Jalan Utara cluster.As of now, Kota Kinabalu , Sandakan , Tuaran , Papar , Putatan and Pitas are yellow zones.Dr Rundi said apart from Covid-19, the state is also fighting against cholera and dengue threats.The three districts with the highest number of cases are Semporna , Kota Kinabalu and Kunak 15.

Dr Rundi also advised the public to adopt social distancing and practise high hygiene standards, especially when they have to go out in public.
