Sarrat, Ilocos Norte now COVID-19 free

– After a series of localized lockdowns and restrictive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease , the municipality of Sarrat in Ilocos Norte is now free of the dreaded disease.

On Friday, medical frontliners bade goodbye to IN-C49, the last active case in Sarrat town from Barangay 9 San Lorenzo, who has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital. The spike of COVID-19 cases in the area pressed the enhancement of existing contact tracing protocols in the province. “We also have to capacitate and maximize our Information Technology Department’s abilities to help us with this endeavor. We want to be more logical, organized, unified, and more updated on our protocol,” said Rabago.
