Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews has announced the appointment of Martin Foley to the role of Health Minister in lieu of the resignation of Jenny Mikakos, labelling her decision an "appropriate course of action". Mr Andrews said Ms Mikakos resigned of her own volition but was unwilling to elaborate on why he believed it to be the appropriate course. "I did not speak with the minister before she resigned and I have not spoken to her since. She sent me a text," he said.
