Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the virus’ infectivity rate or “R0” is rising, and therefore more work needs to be done to reduce the transmission in communities.“In Sabah, the National Security Council and the Election Commission have developed standard operating procedures for campaigning and voting activities.
“Help the country to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 disease, ” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement on Thursday . Dr Noor Hisham said four of the country’s “red zones” are in Sabah - Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kunak and Semporna - besides Kota Setar in Kedah. “Individuals who are not symptomatic, but have also been to red zones are also encouraged to take the test and undergo self-quarantine. This is to protect your own family, friends and people in the nearby community, ” said Dr Noor Hisham.
