CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Cebu City government said it will release the financial aid it promised private hospital nurses assigned in Coronavirus Disease 2019 wards by next week.

“If dili madala rung semana, siguradong next week makasugod na tas distribution kay tumanon gyod ni Mayor Labella iyang saad sa mga nurses,” said Gealon. Labella said that the delay of the release of the aid was because of the documentary requirements needed from the beneficiaries of the financial assistance.

Gealon echoed the previous statement of the mayor, saying that the delay was caused by the documentary process needed to justify the financial assistance to the CoA.
