40 patients were discharged after recovering from Covid-19, bringing total recoveries to 9,355 cases.

In a statement yesterday, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah stated that there are 52 novel cases bringing the total number of cases to 10,219, with 734 cases still active. “12 out of the 52 new cases were import cases with three being locals and nine being foreigners. 8 cases stemmed from India, and one case each coming from Indonesia, Yemen, Russia and Bangladesh. Out of the 40 locally transmitted cases, 26 were of locals whilst 14 were of foreigners.”

The death toll is at 130 whilst ten patients are in intensive care, with two cases requiring ventilator support, he added.
