Premier Gladys Berejiklian has confirmed a man in his 70s has died from COVID-19 in NSW overnight.
“I want to extend our deepest condolences to a man in his early 70s who unfortunately passed away at Royal North Shore hospital yesterday,” she said on Sunday. “He got the disease from one of the CBD clusters recently and unfortunately succumbed to the disease.” Ms Berejiklian also confirmed there were two new virus cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
