Duque refusal to quit might affect DoH budget in 2021 — Angara

Angara said that while the Senate recognizes the need to beef up the DoH’s funds for 2021 so the agency can better respond to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, this may depend on the department’s commitment to respond to the demand called for by lawmakers and different health sectors.

“Nonetheless, marami tayong hinihingi sa kanya in terms of deliverables and accountabilities. So medyo, palagay ko that will be a factor sa pag-impluwensya ng mga senador kung ano yung budget na ilalaan po sa kanyang department ,” Angara said. During the initial budget briefings at the Senate, Duque said the DoH has plans to vaccinate around 20 million Filipinos.
