NSW has recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 in the latest 24-hour reporting period. Four have been linked to known clusters, four are in returned overseas travellers and one case remains under investigation. Follow the latest coronavirus updates here:

Victoria’s State of Emergency and State of Disaster have again been extended by the state government, as Victoria prepares for changes to lockdown measures from midnight tonight.

At the daily COVID-19 update, he said that six of the seven deaths in Victoria over the last 24 hours were connected to aged care outbreaks. There are now 116 people in hospitals across the state, with 11 in intensive care and five on ventilators.There are now 94 fewer active cases across the state since yesterday, with 1157 positive COVID-19 cases still active.

“Our aim was always to get those numbers down to keep them low, and then to be able to take those safe and steady steps.”All the new cases linked to known clusters in Sydney were already in self isolation as close contacts before they were diagnosed.Two more cases have been linked to the Eastern Suburbs Legion Club in Waverley, and are household contacts of previously confirmed cases.
