Sky News host Paul Murray says Victorian Premier DanielAndrewsMP is living in a different world and has lied yet again after it was discovered the state’s curfew laws were not medically advised.

Sky News host Paul Murray says Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is living in a different world and has lied yet again after it was discovered the state’s curfew laws were not medically advised. In an exchange between Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton and Neil Mitchell on radio station 3AW, Professor Sutton revealed the curfew in the state wasn’t based on his advice.

“Daniel Andrews has been caught lying again,” Mr Murray said. “You’re kidding me … the chief medical officer who is apparently the one who has been pulling the strings wasn’t pulling the strings when it came to the curfew. “Who is the health bureaucrat who outranks the chief medical officer, the answer is no-one. “It’s insane … Andrews is just living in a completely different world.”

Daniel Andrews has 'lied to Victoria' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says one of the 'biggest lies that was told to Victorians' yesterday was the promise that regional Victoria would be able to step out of the virus restrictions faster Melbourne.\n\nMr Murray said under Premier Daniel Andrew’s plan to recovery, regional Victoria should enter stage three now, considering they have hit the benchmarks set by the Premier. \n\n“Under your plan premier, that you said would be applied, in regional Victoria if it hit the marks is that they would have the restrictions come off,” Mr Murray said. \n\nMr Murray today sent a very specific question about this issue to the premier and the chief medical officer, but heard nothing in response. \n\nThe only response to his inquiry came from the Department of Health and Human Services which replied with 'gibberish', Mr Murray said. \n\n“Forty-Eight councils right now in Victoria have 10 or fewer cases and they have for weeks, 29 have had zero for weeks – why are they being punished?” he said. \n\nImage: Getty

Daniel Andrews 'obsessing over all the wrong things' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews 'is just wrong for this task' as he engages in micromanaging while obsessing over all the wrong things in his bid to stem the spread of the virus. \n\nMr Andrews announced on Sunday tentative dates for the easing of restrictions, should new case numbers remain low.\n\nThe Melbourne metropolitan area will continue with its stage four lockdowns until at least September 28.\n\nWhile the curfew facing parts of the state will be slightly eased to 9:00pm and people will be allowed to exercise for two hours per day.\n\nMr Kenny said the roadmap 'leaves a curfew in place until the end of October; by that time Victorians will have been forced to stay home, overnight, for three months”. \n\n“This is reckless, this is madness, it hurts people, and it all happens while the deaths continue to occur, not in the broader community, but almost exclusively in aged care facilities, where the precautions and focus should have been more intense, much earlier.\n\n“Victoria needs someone who can look at the big picture, make the big calls about balancing the costs and benefits, risks and rewards of a virus, a health system, a society and an economy.”\n\n'Not someone fussing over skate park rules'. \n\nImage: Getty DanielAndrewsMP Chris Kenny says lots of things, few of them are true. DanielAndrewsMP If Dan was so concerned about the virus and “keeping everyone safe”, he’d allow HCQ to be used so that we could move on. Clearly, it’s not about the virus at all. DanielAndrewsMP If the whole world and not just Victorians had to follow this plan, every country except Taiwan and a handful of Pacific Islands would be at least at stage 3 restrictions, so no retail, no restaurants, no school, businesses, a curfew, stay within 5 km and 4 reasons to leave home.

WHO adviser labels Andrews govt lockdown roadmap 'unattainable' and 'unworkable' | Sky News AustraliaAn adviser to the World Health Organisation says the Andrews government roadmap out of coronavirus lockdowns for Victoria is 'unattainable' and 'unworkable'.\n\nPremier Daniel Andrews' plan did not see significant changes to restrictions until the end of October and had a target for zero cases for 14 days by the end of November.\n\nProfessor Mary-Louise McLaws said at least 20 per cent of cases were asymptomatic meaning a risk for community spread was always present.\n\nMs McLaws called for a strict contact tracing policy and adopt a strategy that was preemptive rather than reactionary.\n\nState Opposition leader Michael O'Brien criticised the Premier's plan arguing he had other options.\n\n'You've got epidemiologists in Victoria saying they don't support the modelling he's based this on,' Mr O'Brien said. \n\n'The economic devastation of this... it's going to be something that's generational.'\n\nMeanwhile, Prime Minister Scott Morrison expressed his strongest criticism yet of the Andrews government calling for the Premier to step up to bear more of the financial burden for the decisions he's making.\n\nMr Morrison urged Mr Andrews to open his state faster and to look to New South Wales' management strategies as a frame of reference.\n\nThe Prime Minister made it clear the national economy would wear the consequences of Victoria's decisions, refusing to absorb any of the political pain that flowed on from this.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia 😂👍 Well ,... they are both pathetic, WHO and Andrews !!! DAN has been consistent Government unattainable' and 'unworkable'. His roadmap unattainable' and 'unworkable'.
