PUTRAJAYA: The Sungai cluster in Kedah has recorded a rise in Covid-19 cases after 23 new cases were detected on Tuesday (Sept 8).

The cluster, which originated from a 39-year-old healthcare worker at a private medical centre, saw more colleagues and family members infected by the coronavirus.

The remaining positive cases were her colleagues at the private medical centre, including one based in Kangar, Perlis and classified as a case in that state. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the cluster is currently under investigation.
