PUTRAJAYA: A new Covid-19 cluster has cropped up at the Semenyih Immigration depot after two officers and one detainee tested positive for the coronavirus.

This is the second time the same depot has become the site of a Covid-19 cluster, said the Health Ministry.Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah

Investigations by the ministry found two Immigration officers from the depot, aged 34 and 36, also tested positive for Covid-19.Dr Noor Hisham said the ministry has implemented active case detection and contact tracing, with 269 individuals screened so far. Dr Noor Hisham urged frontliners who dealing with Covid-19 positive cases or patients under investigations to take preventive measures at all times.
