Covid curve to flatten in September – Lorenzana

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana is confident the coronavirus disease 2019 curve will be flattened this month, citing the new campaign plan developed by the National Task Force Covid-19 in charge of the pandemic response.

“Yes, we can,” Lorenzana said on Tuesday night when asked if the country could flatten the curve this month. He made the assurance to New Zealand Ambassador Peter Kell during their virtual meeting last August 27. In an information relayed by the Defense department to reporters, Lorenzana commended New Zealand’s proactive measures in response to monitoring and controlling Covid cases in the Oceania country.
