The warning comes hours after a Melbourne man was charged with incitement following a prohibited gathering of anti-lockdown protesters in the city's north on Sunday.Another five people were issued with $1652 fines for breaching coronavirus restrictions and police said more infringements were expected to be issued in the next few days as investigations continue.
"We are urging these people for one moment to stop thinking about themselves and stop putting Victorians' lives at risk." Many of the anti-lockdown protesters on Sunday were spotted wearing Guy Fawkes masks, with flares being held aloft by the rowdy group. Those fined included a man sitting at a bus stop at Glen Waverly train station after curfew, telling police he went shopping and then to a friend's place.

Quite a vast difference between this police response and that when tens of thousands of people gathered to protest in a cause which the Premier supported.
Banning people from protesting for the right to protest is politicizing what was a health driven lock-down. We should be allowed to protest if we follow protocols: masks, social distancing, wash hands, don't cough near others, far cough!

Their mistake here is they think an uprising is being led by a select few individuals. I think they will have to arrest 10s of thousands who aren’t being led by anyone but their own response to being treated like prisoners for six months.

This sounds like overreach. The right to protest is a democratic right and ought never to be traded away. It goes to the very foundation of democracy.
When this censorship starts and is supported by anyone it's all downhill from here.
So now we are at the policing stage where having a plan to protest is illegal. Maybe wait and see if there actually is action not just words. What's next?
