PETALING JAYA: Two new Covid-19 clusters, which are detected in Selangor and Kedah, have been identified by the Health Ministry.

Its director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said one cluster had emerged on board a vessel in Port Klang, Selangor.

“The index case is case 9,286, who was found positive on Aug 25. The index case is a crew member of the ship, ” he said in a statement on Sunday , adding that the index case has been admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital. Active case detection, he said, is being conducted and the source of the infection is still under investigation.

The other cluster was identified in Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah in Kedah, in which two cases were found to be among staff members of the hospital.
