MANILA, Philippines — The number of coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines has reached over 217,000 after the Department of Health logged 4,284 new cases.

As of August 30, DOH said there are now 217,396 COVID-19 cases in the country, of which 56,473 are considered active cases.Meanwhile, the DOH has recorded 22,319 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 157,403.FEATURED STORIES
