Prime Minister Scott Morrison says his office has been swamped with letters from Australians with "heartbreaking" stories of being denied medical care and other vital services as a result of the states closing their borders.
Mr Morrison continued his campaign when asked about the matter on Sky News late on Thursday night, saying he had received letters from Australians with medical issues unrelated to coronavirus who were now finding it difficult to access medical treatment, or who were unable to accompany loved ones."Now I'm not suggesting that the officials who are dealing with this are heartless, but that is the consequence of when you put a border up.
"And I think it's fair enough for Australians to know how those things are being balanced up. There's the risk of the spread, that's true, but there's also the great damage that's being done to people's lives and livelihoods as well." Queensland has shut its border to NSW, the ACT and Victoria and is refusing to allow residents from those jurisdictions to enter, even after quarantining, although there are some exemptions. The ACT has recorded no new coronavirus cases for more than a week.

latikambourke Help me understand this? Did QLD actually prohibit them entering the state or did the parents assume they couldnt so headed for Sydney? As i understand ambulances are allowed over borders and not being stopped so why was this lady not transported by nsw ambos or chopper?
