Coronavirus Ireland county cases: Dublin 'watched closely' after big spike as 16 counties hit

A total of 16 counties were hit by a further rise in new Covid-19 infections, it was announced last night.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 here is now 28,116, while the death toll still stands at 1,777. The remaining 25 cases are spread across Carlow, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Galway, Laois, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Tipperary and Wexford.
