Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is set to honour six health workers in recognition of their efforts and selfless service in the fight against COVID-19.

The medical personnel, according to reports, would be honoured during the state’s 29th year anniversary of the state on August 27.The medics including doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians and other medical personnel from state, federal and as well as private clinics in the state was said to have volunteered to be trained and to work at the state isolation centre during the outbreak of the pandemic in the state.

Those to be honored according to the governor include: Dr Stanley Okerulu, Dr Ijeoma Nduka, Peace Nwaogwugwu, Dr Azubuike Onyebuchi, Nurse Lilian Anyanwu and Nurse Kemi Olowoniyi.
