25/08/2020Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced new health measures will be implemented in her state as a "precaution" for large numbers of indigenous people attending a boxing match in Townsville.
The Premier said extra precautions would be put in place ahead of the Jeff Horn and Tim Tszyu fight to help protect the “people from indigenous communities that are coming to the fight”. “We are putting in this extra level of precaution just to make sure that everyone is safe at that event,” she said.
