AFTER recording a new low in the daily tally of coronavirus cases on Sunday, the Department of Health on Monday, August 24, 2020, reported new infections that again went past the 4,000 mark and increased the cumulative cases in just 24 days of August to 100,898.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin Monday, DOH reported a total case count of 194,252, including 4,686 newly confirmed infections based on reports submitted by 95 laboratories. Of the 194,252 total number of cases, 59,200 were active cases, or patients who were still in the hospitals or in quarantine.
