In defense of Malacañang’s decision to keep the deployment ban on nurses, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque appealed to health workers’ “patriotism.' READ:

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday, August 24, defended the Duterte government’s decision to keep a deployment ban on health workers during the pandemic, calling once more on their “patriotism” to serve the country during the national emergency.

“On the part of the President and IATF , the first consideration is the health of our health workers since they’re going to places where there are more coronavirus cases,” Roque said in Filipino. . Take advantage of the opportunity to prove your worth in the Philippines as clinical nurses,” he said. But the Duterte administration’s argument is one that has long been rejected by health workers.

Health workers who were affected by the ban had said they were fully aware of the risks involved in going overseas but wanted to provide for their families especially during the crisis.

Gago! A million and I'll put my resources to beat the sense out of this ******

Traitors are requiring people to be patriot. Ironic!

attyharryroque Basahin mo mga comment sir. Walang natutuwa sayo.

u could've prevented d worsening of dis pandemic yet u turned a blind r questioning us of our patriotism?D gov't is partly accountable for thousands of deaths & d surge of cases n d country.B an example kasi muna wag puro talak SetPHNursesFree

ANONG 'TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE YOUR WORTH'? E PUTANGINA IKAW YUNG WALANG KWENTA E. SAYANG KANG PUTANGINA KA. MAY MATINONG VISION KA DATI PARA SA BAYAN PERO NGAYON NAGING TUTA KA NA RIN. NAGMAMAGALING LANG PERO YUNG TOTOO, LIBAG LANG YAN NG MASA!

Patriotism but he praises and protects everything about china... dont make us laugh...attyharryroque .... baka ikaw dapat maging patriot... come on...

It's suicide, financially and physically.

Roque how about you, how many years have you been in your career? Have you prove your worth already in the Philippines? 🤷‍♀️

Oh my God. attyharryroque We don't need to prove our worth to anyone else. We don't owe you or this country. I may be rude and insensitive to say this but the government is just a burden ever since.

Just deploy your military goons, you were always waiting for a military solution to this health crisis anyways.

Sakit nung “Prove your worth”! Siya kaya kelan nya ma prove yun?

mama mo prove your worth

Patriotism is not, and should not be forced. You do not suppress the people, and ask them to be patriots. It should come from them genuinely. And most importantly, give them reason to be be patriotic. The question is, has the Government done enough to ask people to be patriots.

Why dont you take advantage of this 🖕🏼

attyharryroque do you think this is fucking funny?

Prove our worth? TF.

Tatak Dutae.

Clownery at it's fineZt

Alam mo yung feeling na sinabihan ka ng boss mo na work harder when in fact you have delivered beyond expectations and daily rendered ot na halos wala ka ng time sa sarili mo. Eto Yun.

Labo mo!

Sarap mong sapakin Rocque.

I think you should start proving to everyone that you're capable of handling public office. Tsaka, stop demanding for nationalism when Duterte even bows to China. Mahiya naman kayo. Mama niyo best and brightest. 🤡

taasahan niyo bayad ng healthcare workers at protektahan sila , inutil talaga ‘tong rehimen na ‘to
