Out of the eight cases, three are from Japan, three are from Indonesia, one is from the Maldives, and one is from Mexico, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement on Sunday.
Dr Noor Hisham said of the 27 Alam cluster-linked individuals screened so far, seven had tested positive while 18 tested negative and two others were awaiting their results. He added that contact tracing for the locally transmitted Tawar cluster was ongoing, saying that 3,286 individuals from Kedah, Penang and Perak had been screened so far.Of the 2,758 individuals screened in Kedah, 54 tested positive, 2,362 tested negative, and 342 were still awaiting results.
