Her mom passed away on Aug. 17 last year.
Her mom planned to return home and start a business after she recovered, and Banessa wanted to make her proud when she came back. Her mom worked abroad for 16 years and only came home every 2 years. After the breakdown, she did figure out the answer and made her mom proud as she got a line of 9s in her grades for that semester.
