Sophie Butler, 24, wants disabled- and able-bodied women alike to rethink why they work out.In July of 2017, when I was 21 years old, I broke my back when a loaded Smith machine bar fell on me during a set of squats at the gym. I was rushed to the hospital and into emergency surgery and was left paralyzed from the waist down. From that moment forward, I became a full-time wheelchair user.
