Live updates: NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro goes it alone to push for border reopening

easing COVID-19 restrictions to increase the crowd from 10,000 to 50,000 for this year's grand finalThere have now been 22.2 million coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. The global death toll has passed 783,000.Health Minister Greg Hunt told Nine’sshow this morning that Prime Minister Scott Morrison had written to the premiers regarding the ongoing issues at state borders, particularly Queensland.

“I would say in particular to the Queensland Premier where there are cases of patients with clinical need, with medical need, to allow them to travel is absolutely part of our common humanity, our common decency and our sense of 'Australian-ness' and I would respectfully but politely say to Queensland these medical cases, these medical workers and patients, they're fundamental as are our agricultural workers. These are our agricultural workers.

“It won't be mandatory but it will be widely encouraged and our goal with any vaccine is to achieve up to 95 per cent immunisation,” he said “This saves lives, protects lives. We are keeping on the table the existing mechanisms we have such as no jab no pay, they've helped lift immunisation rates with children.

Why does Barilaro hate the people of NSW so much? One stupid fucking idea after another.

Has Barilalo got a brumby loose in his top paddock?

Do we have more than just one politician in each state and territory again?

Everyone should join him. To do otherwise is disgraceful, self-interested politics

This is no time to weaken. Stay strong Gladys! This is a time for strength and inovative solutions.

For regional areas bordering other states, should put the crossed border towns into bubbles to allow town folks to travel with less restrictions especially for medical purposes

Live: NSW Now: Severe weather warning for 'vigorous cold front', NSW Health Minister hits back at PalaszczukMORNING BRIEFING: Dangerous and damaging winds of up to 120 kph are forecast as the cold front moves from the west of the state to the east coast, while Brad Hazzard slams the Queensland Premier's comments that Queensland hospitals are 'for our people'. NSW Health Minister...you mean the one responsible for the deaths from RubyPrincess ...that health minister? Of course, Hazzard could actually take steps to ensure NSW provided the care that NSW citizens need and stop blaming other states for NSW’s inadequacies. First they palmed off recycling waste onto QLD, now they want to send NSW citizens to QLD because they can't be arsed to look after them themselves. Oh wait, there's a state election coming up in QLD, guess the health of NSW citizens isn't as important as political points.
