Colorado's health department has launched an investigation into the use of ketamine in connection with the 2019 death of Elijah McClain in police custody.
The 23-year-old Black man died after paramedics administered the powerful anesthetic during a confrontation with police.The Department of Public Health and Environment, which certifies emergency medical responders, said in a statement Wednesday that it's investigating"numerous complaints" that provided new information"regarding a ketamine administration in August 2019."Ketamine has been used illegally as the club drug Special K.

Ketamine is very good for pain and migraines. But in a very controlled setting. Not everyone can use it.
