The Health director-general said this includes getting a traveller to have a swab test and undergo a 14-day quarantine period at home before leaving the country.
However, Dr Noor Hisham pointed out that while discussions are ongoing, including with New Zealand and Australia, the borders will not be opened just yet.He said one of the SOPs being looked into is for a person who intends to travel to get tested for Covid-19."If the result is negative, then the person will be allowed to travel," said Dr Noor Hisham.For now, he said, the intention was to tighten the borders, especially along illegal routes to prevent illegal entry into Malaysia.
