PUTRAJAYA: The government is mulling making passengers transiting through Malaysian airports undergo Covid-19 screening, says Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said this when asked to respond on Cambodia's move to ban flights from Malaysia and Indonesia due to imported Covid-19 cases.

"What we need to implement is to look into whether to conduct screening for those who are transiting through our airports," said Dr Noor Hisham during his weekly briefings on Monday . The woman and her husband were found to have flu-like symptoms while going through the thermal scanner at the KLIA.
