Trouble is Drs and NHS use outdated BMI system. I am 70 and if I tried to get to what it says I would look like a skeleton. It does not take height, muscle into consideration.

Then properly educate people. Slimming World and Weight watchers is not the answer. Their diets promote obesity, through low fat high sugar foods. Fat isn't the bad guy, sugar and carbs do the damage. Both say eat lots of it.

Going to be an interesting conversation if the gp is overweight. Only doctor who ever said anything to me about weight during a company medical was in fact grossly overweight himself.

About 10 years ago, my GP tore me a new A-hole over my alcohol consumption- with a liver function test that proved it showed signs of distress. I was shocked & took the advice. 2 months later, function was near perfect & I changed my habits forever Same should be done to obese

Well, obesity is one of the biggest killers with many bad outcomes impacting quality of life. Being frank about the data along with good information about remedies can help people to enjoy their life more. It is actually enjoyable to eat right and find cool ways to exercise. =
